Pleasant conditions greeted the 88 players who congregated for the Phillip Island vs Flinders Challenge on Tuesday May 23.
Lunch in the clubhouse was followed by a shotgun start, and there were some particularly good scores on the day. John Bean was the best from our neighbors with a fine 41 points, while Ian Johnson, Chris Hosking and Phillip Redely flew the flag for Flinders all scoring 39 points.
The teams event takes the average score of the top 20 from each club, and Flinders was victorious with an average score of 34.65 bettering Phillip Island’s average of 33.45.
Nearest the pins went to Terry Crumpton (PI) on the 9th, Pete Conroy (PI) on the 12th, Gary Lee on the 14th and Adrian Smith on the 17th.
Congratulations also to Terry Green who had an eagle on the 11th.
