New Club Professional

Published on 7th July 2017 in Past News Story

For those who are unaware, this week was the culmination of our search for a replacement for our outgoing Club Professional, Gavin Coyle.  The process your committee went through was particularly extensive, seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates from across the country, via the PGA and their network.

Applications came from far and wide, and after much deliberation, your committee settled on a shortlist of 4, all of whom were interviewed throughout the week.

Pleasingly, on behalf of the committee, I am thrilled to announce, officially, that our Josh Shaw has accepted the position of Head Professional of The Flinders Golf Club.  As members would be aware, Josh has been at Flinders for four years, throughout his traineeship, and has been looking after the shop for the last twelve weeks or thereabouts.

In addition to his understanding of the club, and his relationships with many of our members, Josh brings to the role a sense of enthusiasm, and a willingness to grow not only the business in the golf shop, but the wider reputation of the Flinders Golf Club as a whole, as well as membership, junior golf and social groups.

We warmly welcome Josh aboard, and look forward to working with him to achieve great things moving forward!
