Captains Trophy
Published on 26th September 2017 in Golf NewsRound three of the Captains Trophy is now complete and the field tightens as we are getting to the business end of the event.
There are some familiar names in the fourth round, notably Ray Bannister who continues to prove age counts over youth as he knocked out Harry, and our Club Champion Alec Morley’s run continues, as does the search for back to back wins after taking out this years Presidents trophy.
Ewan McCall’s run towards his first major event at the Club also continues, after taking care of Darrel Adams.
Geoff Malkin who comfortably accounted for last years winner, Neil Cavanagh now takes on our President Ross Taylor who wore down John Hall on the 20th.
They are however up against some seasoned campaigners also rating highly in the bookies list. Some interesting weeks ahead, round 4 is to be played by 7th October.
