Practice Fairway Upgrade

As members would be aware, the Western end of the practice fairway has been closed for sometime now due to the wet conditions and dormant couch grass, both of which contribute to a slow recovery for the turf.  The club has made a good investment in the recent upgrade to the practice nets behind the pro shop, and on completion of this job, it was decided to retain the mats from the old nets, and put them to use on the practice fairway, so there in future there will be the use of both ends of the range all year round.

Course Super Colin Morrison and his team  there has been some work done on some permanent synthetic bays located at the Western end of the range.  The base is made up of crushed rock, and old core holes, and there are some concrete slabs the mats will sit on.  Given the mats are being set up on one of the wetter areas of the property, we will need to allow a bit of time to consolidate and dry out.

It is anticipated that the bays will be open for use towards the end of October.
