Women’s Golf Update

Published on 3rd September 2017 in Golf News

The course played very long on Saturday and the pins were in tricky positions for the final round of the Trigolflon and the Monthly Medal.

Suzanne Middleton-Smart one of our joint leaders was unavailable to play and our other leader Kate Farrar could not continue her excellent form in the final stroke round.  Eight players played in all three rounds;  Sue Cutten emerged the winner of the Trigolflon.  The stroke round scoring where a nett point above par is worth 30 points or below par -30 has a great impact on end result.  Once again the women’s scores were all in the negative range.

Anne Maree Dyer was the best player on Saturday and won her first Monthly Medal with a nett 74, Anne Maree also won a ball for putting with only 26 putts recorded.  Congratulations Sue and Anne Maree.  Anne Maree is the final player to qualify for the Women’s 2017 Medal of Medalist which will be played on Saturday 7th October.
