Pennant Report

Last week the extraordinary December weather forced the cancellation of all competitions, so Round 8 against Rosebud on the beach will be played at home next Saturday, the 16th December. Round 9 against Sorrento 2 yesterday was another draw – our second for the season! Very exciting when the result comes down to the last bowl of the day. This sees us move down one spot on the ladder to fourth.

Coffee Machine is Here

Our new Saeco Aulika coffee machine, courtesy of Bendigo Bank at Balnarring, is now up and running, complete with its own milk fridge. Roberto from Cappamachino in Mornington supplied the machine, set it up for us and gave Claire, Giselle, Sue and Jan training in its operation.

The machine is stocked with Commonfolk coffee and is simple to use – once it is on and warmed up it is just a push of a button to get the coffee you want. Cleaning at the end of the day is very important – please ask any of the above people for a quick lesson.

Christmas Breakup Party

About thirty people enjoyed a lovely relaxed dinner on Saturday 9th December. Cold chicken and meat platters were provided, and some winner salads and desserts made everyone eat too much. Mandatory for a Christmas meal!

The raffle was drawn by Life Member Jean Strong, and was won by a very happy Lee Thorn.
