Men’s Pennant Report – Round 2
Published on 25th March 2018 in Golf NewsRound 2 of the Mens Pennant was played at a well presented Moonah Links in very windy conditions. A band of heavy rain gave the boys a good soaking early on but soon cleared and it was back to business on course. Pleasing to report our team secured a very well deserved 4 – 3 victory which went right down to last putt of the game.
Congratulations to Andrew Wright on securing his first win for the team and well done to Simon Payne, Leigh Yanner and Alex Morley on their victories.
Round 3 will be played at Flinders GC on Sunday 8th April, come down and support the team if you can spare the time.
On Sunday Flinders Golf Club Pennant Team travelled to Warburton for the 1st round of the 2018 Pennant season against Portsea. Unfortunately, the result didn’t go Flinders way as the team lost the match 4 to 3. With the small greens and very windy conditions it made for an interesting afternoon of golf!!
Congratulations to Ross Pilling and Andrew Wright on their first games for Flinders Golf Club and well done to our winners on the day, Leigh Yanner, Alec Morley and Neil Cavanagh. Our next match is at Moonah Links Sunday 25th March at 11.00 am.
