Twilight Golf & Dinner

Published on 29th March 2018 in Golf News

The season ending Twilight Golf and Dinner on Wednesday night was enjoyed by close to 70 members and guests.

The evening commenced with the last chance for members to take home the Hole in One Jackpot.  As was the case all season, there were no hole in ones, but a beautiful shot by Bob Lovelace to 16cm was enough for him to take home the kitty – well done Bob!

A pleasant 8 hole ambrose event followed, and the Wilson’s & Dawson’s took top spot, from the Stawell’s and the Plant’s.  The on course events were a NTP on the second shot on the first, won by Paul West & Felicity Sladen, and our longest drive event was won by our Captains – Dean Burrows & Karen Waterson.

The seafood buffet was once again well received by all members and guests.

A successful twilight season overall, it seems the new shotgun start format works well, as do the themed dinners.  There were 373 golfers and diners across all events this year, which is more than double the number that attended last year.  A big thanks to our Marketing expert, Kim Little for all her work in putting these events together, and the golf & hospitality teams for making these events such a success.

Pictured below are some shots from the Hole in one comp, Including a marker showing how close Bob was to a hole in one, as well as a shot of some of our fantastic hospitality team.
