If every Golfer repaired two pitch marks on each green, how many would you see?

Surely there would be none…..?

Ball Marks

  1. Always start at the back of the mark and push forward with the repairer.
  2. Use repairer around all sides and slowly ease turf towards the centre of the mark. Do not lift the soil upwards.
  3. Lightly tap down with putter.
  4. Your completed repair should look like this.

Divots

  1. Remove any loose turf from the affected area.
  2. (and 3) Knock in all sides of the edge of the divot with your club or your shoe.
  3. Correctly mended divot.

Damage to Greens

  1. Players should ensure that, when resting bags and clubs, no damage is done to the putting green.
  2. Do not park your equipment on the putting green at any time.
  3. Neither players nor caddies should damage the hole by standing close to it.
  4. Players should not damage the putting green by leaning on putters, or by removing the ball from the hole with their putters.  Please remove the ball from the hole with your hands.
