If every Golfer repaired two pitch marks on each green, how many would you see?

Surely there would be none…..?

Ball Marks

  1. Always start at the back of the mark and push forward with the repairer.
  2. Use repairer around all sides and slowly ease turf towards the centre of the mark. Do not lift the soil upwards.
  3. Lightly tap down with putter.
  4. Your completed repair should look like this.

Divots

  1. Remove any loose turf from the affected area.
  2. (and 3) Knock in all sides of the edge of the divot with your club or your shoe.
  3. Correctly mended divot.

Damage to Greens

  1. Players should ensure that, when resting bags, clubs, or the flagstick, no damage is done to the putting green.
  2. Do not park your equipment on the putting green at any time.
  3. Neither players nor caddies should damage the hole by standing close to it, or in recklessly handling the flagstick. The flagstick should be properly replaced in the hole before the players leave the putting green.
  4. Players should not damage the putting green by leaning on putters, or by removing the ball from the hole with their putters.  Please remove the ball from the hole with your hands.

Bunkers

  1. Always enter the bunker at the lowest point.
  2. Pull rake towards you as you exit the bunker.
  3. If required, rake other affected areas.
  4. Do not pile sand at the edge of the bunker. Push back excess sand.
