As we couldn’t play this year, take a look back at the successful running of the 2019 event.

The 109th Annual Easter Tournament has been run and won and it is fair to say it has been a successful event.

Over the course of the weekend, there were more than 700 golfers at the Club, either competing in the event, participating in our swing fit and beginners’ clinics and/or enjoying the social aspect of the game. We were also fortunate enough to host guests from over 30 clubs, including:

Kingston Heath, Portsea, Glen Waverley, Rosebud, Royal Melbourne, Mornington, The National, Huntingdale, Yering, Metropolitan, Green Acres, Warragul, Peninsula Kingswood, Kyneton, Royal Sydney, Eastern, Riversdale, Cape Schanck, The Dunes, Lang Lang, Box Hill, Southern, Leongatha, Horsham, Victoria, Settlers Run, Curlewis, Latrobe, Sale & Northern.

The Easter raffle, and the spin the wheel competition were big hits and some lucky members took home some fantastic prizes. Congratulations to all of our Members & their guests for entering the event, especially to our event and prize winners.

Our new App was launched, and those who had downloaded it were fortunate enough to receive a notification on Friday that was an offer for a complimentary drink on course – and those who promised to download it were also afforded the same.   There was also some chocolate provided to all players from our very generous Easter Bunny!  Drinks and chocolate were also provided to Saturday players as well, and enjoyed by most!

Many of our golfers took advantage of the clubhouse offerings for breakfast, which is fast becoming the norm here at Flinders – registration upstairs with coffee & breakfast available at a lot more events moving forward.  Lunch was a welcome addition to the offering this year, and the hospitality team are to be commended for the service and fare provided.  The course was presented beautifully each day which is a credit to the course staff.  A lot of players visited the golf shop for some Easter bargains and weren’t disappointed.
