Saturday Morning Coffee Van

This weekend, we have a special visitor planned.  An initiative introduced by Mandy.

Liv from Mr Ed Coffee will be available in the car park between 7.15am and 11.15am (weather permitting of course)

Given the time of year, what better way to start your round with a nice hot cup of coffee!  If you are on the time sheet, make sure you grab a coffee before you hit off – and if you are not on the time sheet, why not pop past on your morning walk!

Mr Ed is parked every weekday morning at Bittern Motors and has earned quite a following of discerning customers dropping in for a takeaway coffee between 6 and 10am.  The coffee maker, Liv, also sells hot chocolate, Chai and English breakfast tea as well as a small range of biscuits and (to give you that extra boost of energy) protein balls.

Liv and Mr Ed are normally occupied on Saturdays at this time of year at markets or football games around the Peninsula but owing to COVID – 19 restrictions, they are free to come to Flinders Golf Club instead, at least for a while.  This is a welcome opportunity for us while our own hospitality offerings are necessarily limited.

Mr Ed will be stationed on or near the General Manager’s car park down near the Pro Shop from 7.15 to 11.15am.  We are hoping that golfers will be tempted to take one away but also to attract passersby; there are so many people walking around the course past our front entrance during the pandemic.  There will be promotional flags and signs that can be seen from the street.

This first week is a trial since they needs to sell a certain volume of coffee and other drinks to make it worth their while.  So, if we like the sound of a high quality takeaway coffee or  hot chocolate, please buy one, even if you aren’t golfing.  And tell all your walking and cycling friends to come on down to the Club for a takeaway coffee, tea, chocolate or chai.
