12th Bunker Update

Published on 7th July 2020 in Course News, Golf News, Local and Member News, Local News, Members News

The recent break in the weather has allowed course staff to excavate the silt out of the 12th bunkers. The silt layer had capped the drains blocking water from entering the drains. The contaminated sand was excavated and removed. Fresh free draining sand has replenished the bunkers ready for play

well done Colin and staff hopefully this will satisfy a lot of members who think that the bunkers are not being maintained .With the amount of rain that the course has had ,we can still play golf .

Hopefully the weather gods will be on our side with some sunshine and wind .

Why all the machinery? John Squire achieves the same outcome with the use of a simple sand iron. He has a case for naming rights.
