Monthly Medal and Medal of Medallists (Women)

Supplementary Conditions of Competition

 

1. Entry

  1. The Monthly Medal and the Medal of Medallist are run concurrently with the daily competition and therefore the entry fee is included in the daily entry fee.

  2. Entry is through the clubs online booking sheet.

  3. Members in the following categories eligible to enter are 7 day, Veteran, Super Veteran, Life, Age-based and Flexible.

  4. Women members who have won a Monthly Medal in the current year are eligible to play for the Medal of Medallists.

  5. The Medal of Medallists will be played on the first Stroke round in December

 

2. Format

  1. The competition for this event is Stroke.

 

3. Rules

  1.  For a Monthly Medal to be awarded, 4 players are required to play in the Stroke competition on the day.

  2. December to November are to always be Stroke rounds off the Red Markers. The Women’s Match Committee reserves the right to amend the events and conditions of play as deemed necessary. This applies to the Monthly Medal and Medal of Medalists.

  3. In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided on a countback.

  4. The event will be conducted according to the Rules of Golf including the Flinders Golf Club (FGC) General Conditions of Competition and Local Rules. Where the word “Committee” is used in this or any of the Rules documents it will mean the Golf Committee of the FGC whose decisions will be final and binding on all competitors.

  5. Should a Medal day be cancelled, if possible, a new day may be scheduled in that month.

  6. Players (or their caddies) must not ride on any form of transportation in this event unless there are over 70 years of age or are able to provide a medical certificate, acceptable to the Committee. Any approved transportation is for that purpose, only, and if equipped with weather protection shields, they must not be used. Penalty statement in FGC General Conditions of Competition applies.

 

4. General Information

  1. The Monthly Medal is presented at the presentation on the day of play.

  2. Medal of Medallist is a Board Event and the winner name shall be inscribed on the appropriate Honour Board.

  3. The Trophy is presented at the Club’s Presentation Night.
