Ruby Nase Perpetual Trophy (Women)

 Supplementary Conditions of Competition

 

1. Entry

  1. The Ruby Nase run concurrently with the daily competition and therefore the entry fee is included in the Women’s Opening Day entry fee. (This is traditionally the first Thursday of February)

  2. Entry is through the clubs on line booking sheet.iii.Women members in the following categories eligible to enter are 6 day, 7 day, Veteran, Super Veteran, Life, Agebased and Flexible.

 

2. Format

  1. The format of this event is Canadian Foursomes Stroke.

 

3. Rules

  1. The winners are the players with the best nett score for the round.

  2. In the event of a tie; a count back will determine the winning pair

  3. The event will be conducted according to the Rules of Golf including the Flinders Golf Club (FGC) General Conditions of Competition and Local Rules. Where the word “Committee” is used in this or any of the Rules documents it will mean the Golf Committee of the FGC whose decisions will be final and binding on all competitors.

  4. The event shall be played from the Red plates unless otherwise indicated by the placement of movable tee markers.

 

4. Handicap

  1. Is 3/8 of the combined handicaps, fractions do count..

 

5. General Information

  1. The winners will have their name engraved on the Ruby Nase Perpetual Trophy.

  2. The winners will be presented with a prize on the day of competition (usually something with a ‘ruby’ theme).

  3. The runners up will also be presented with a prize.

  4. History: The trophy is named after Miss Ruby Nase who was secretary of The Flinders Golf Club for many years, she served on the General Committee and was awarded Life Membership in 1966

  5. The Golf Committee reserves the right to amend the event and conditions of play as deemed necessary.
