Supplementary Conditions of Competition

 

1. Entry

  1. The Trigolflon is run concurrently with the daily competition and therefore the entry fee is that of the daily competition.

  2. Entry is through the online booking sheet.

  3. Member categories eligible to enter are 7 day, Veteran, Super Veteran, Life, Age based, Junior and Flexible.

 

2. Format

  1. The Championship is a 54 Hole, multi-format, handicap stroke play event to be played over three rounds on dates as promulgated in the FGC Syllabus / Club Calendar of Events.

  2. Players will compete off the Daily Handicaps valid on each day of play.

  3. Scoring for the event will be as follows: Round 1: Stableford – 10 points awarded or deducted for each point above or below 36 Stableford points (e.g. 39 points = +30 points, 34 points = -20 points). Round 2: Par – 20 points awarded or deducted for each stroke above or below net par (e.g. 3 up = +60 points, 4 down = -80 points). Final Round: Stroke – 30 points awarded or deducted for each stroke above net par (e.g. net 3 under = +90 points, net 2 over = -60 points).

 

3.     Rules

  1. The event will be conducted according to the Rules of Golf including the Flinders Golf Club (FGC) General Conditions of Competition and Local Rules. Where the word “Committee” is used in this or any of the Rules documents it will mean the Golf Committee of the FGC whose decisions will be final and binding on all competitors.

  2. Players (or their caddies) must not ride on any form of transportation in this event unless they are over 70 years of age or are able to produce a medical certificate acceptable to the Committee. Any approved transportation is for that purpose, only, and may not be equipped with weather protection shields. Penalty statement in FGC General Conditions of Competition applies.

  3. The event will be played from the Blue plates for Rounds 1 & 2 and Black plates for Round 3 unless otherwise indicated by the placement of movable tee markers on the day of play.

  4. In the event of a tie, the result will be decided on a count back for the final 18 holes in accordance with the FGC General Conditions of Competition procedure for resolution of ties in 18 hole stroke play events.

  5. If there is a need to suspend play, the provisions set out in the FGC General Conditions of Competition will apply.

 

4.    General Information

  1. Winner will receive an invitation to the annual Presentation Night where they will be presented with an award.
