ii. Member categories eligible to enter are 7 day, Veteran, Super Veteran, Life, Age based, Junior and Flexible.

iii. Any member must play at least 3 FGC competitions within the preceding twelve months to be eligible to win the Championship in any grade. The Captain may waive this rule if there were extenuating circumstances beyond the Player’s control that contributed to this condition not being met.

2. Format

i.The Championships are 54 Hole events to be played over three rounds on dates as promulgated in the FGC Syllabus / Club Calendar of Events.
ii. There will be 3 Grades.
iii. Players will be graded according to their GA handicap at the commencement of round 1 as follows:

Club Championship: GA handicap up to a maximum of 9.9.
B Grade Championship: GA handicap between 10 and 16.9.
C Grade Championship: GA handicap 17.0 and above.

  1. The format for Club Championship and B Grade will be gross stroke.
    v. In the event that a B grade player has the best 3 round gross score, he will be the Club Champion and the player with the next best score in B Grade will be the B Grade Champion.
vi. The format for C Grade Championship will be Stableford (except for players competing concurrently in the Junior Championship, where they will play gross stroke) with handicaps being those applicable upon entry at round one and this will apply for the subsequent two rounds.

NOTES for C Grade Championship:

– In round one, given the competition runs concurrently with the Monthly Medal,
C Grade players have the option of recording a Stroke score to be eligible for the Monthly Medal and the Golf Committee will convert this to a Stableford score for the purposes of the C Grade Championship. In the event a C Grade player is disqualified from the daily stroke competition as a result of not completing one or more holes, their score will be converted to Stableford score and is still eligible towards the C Grade Championship. (Junior players will have their Round 2 & 3 gross scores converted to Stableford score for the purpose of the C Grade Championship)
– In rounds 2 & 3 C Grade players must play stableford format (except for Junior players, who will play gross stroke).
– In rounds 2 & 3 handicap for the purpose of the concurrent daily competition will be the daily handicap applicable on the day of competition – this is relevant for those players whose handicap changes after round one.
