New FGC Course Superintendent Appointed

Published on 7th September 2021 in Course News, Golf News, Local and Member News, Members News
We recently received 14 excellent applications for the position of our Course Superintendent. Following an extensive interview process, we are pleased to announce the position has been offered and accepted by Tom Hogan.

Having grown up on the Mornington Peninsula, Tom and his wife are excited at the prospect of returning to the Peninsula with their young family. Tom joins the FGC after having spent the last 10 years as Assistant Superintendent of Barwon Heads Golf Club. Prior to that he has worked at Torquay Sands, The National Golf Club and Moonah Links.

We are looking forward to Tom starting employment at our great club and trust with his vast experience he will bring some new ideas to our course. Tom is looking forward to stepping up into the Superintendent role and the opportunity to lead our tremendous ground staff, whom share a wealth of knowledge across our course.

Tom starts with us on the 20th September and we warmly welcome him to The Flinders Golf Club.

Regards,

Dean Burrows

Captain
