Competition Score Recording

Dear Members,

Now that we are again permitted to hold Competition’s, I thought it relevant to confirm how scorecards and scores should now be returned.

For all Competition golf at Flinders Golf Club we have in place the Mi-Club Autoscore card system that all Members are familiar with. In addition to this there is the Mi-Score app available.

118 years since our inception when Members recorded their score with pencil on paper. Still to this day we still do the same at Flinders. Modern technology now has added Mi-Score.

Regardless of your preference between Manual & Mi-Score, I wish to confirm, scorecards are to be swapped where the player is marking a partner. Players are no longer permitted to mark their own card (as was the case only during COVID).

Please note that Mi-Score only works effectively when both player & marker use it. If one uses a card it needs to be for the player using Mi-Score.

Essentially we are back to recording competition scores as we knew it pre COVID.

Welcome back to all Members, all the very best for your golfing activities and beyond.

Please remember Club Championship’s start Saturday 6th November.

Kind Regards,

Dean Burrows
Captain.
