Summer Bridge Lessons 2022

Do you need to refresh your Bridge skills?  

The ever popular Bridge teacher, Justin Mill is returning to Flinders Golf Club this summer.  There are still a few places in the advanced class but we need more for the class designed for those who are relatively early in their Bridge journey or need a bit of an up-date.  The attached flier has all the details. The first session is on 6 January.

Please note we get to play with actual cards this year with Justin at hand to guide.

Intermediate to advanced lessons will be held on Thursday morning of 6 January, then Wednesday mornings, 12, 19 and 26 January, from 8.30 to 11.00am.

Beginner to Intermediate lessons on Friday mornings, 7, 14, 21 and 28 January, also from 8.30 to 11.00am.

Coffee and tea will be offered on arrival, then Justin will provide a 45-minute lesson followed by 90 minutes of supervised play WITH ACTUAL CARDS!

We are looking to have a maximum of 32 in each session, being 8 tables of 4 players, but this may be reviewed.

Provided the sessions are well supported, the cost will be:

$40 per head per session, or $160 for all four sessions for members 

$45 per head per session, or $180 for all four sessions for non-members.

Only those who can provide proof of their full vaccination status will be permitted.  Justin will provide notes and even be available for follow up questions.  You may wish to bring a note-pad and pen.

The important thing to note is that the Beginner to Intermediate sessions will not be suitable for absolute beginners.  To make the most of this session, you need to have a basic understanding of bidding in Bridge. Ideally you will have attended at least one Beginner course in the past and played some Bridge on BBO over the pandemic.  You might even want to brush up. It will be first come first serve from the date bookings open, but given limitations on space, we must give priority to Flinders Golf Club members who book for all four lessons in the package.
