107th Annual Easter Tournament Wrap Up

Across the Easter holiday period the Flinders Golf Club held the 107th Annual Easter Tournament with great success. A great patronage from members, guests and visitors lifted entries up from previous years with full fields in both the AM & PM shotgun starts on Good Friday and again strong turnout in both the AM & PM fields on Saturday.

The weather conditions were generally quite mild with exception to the Friday AM field. Our course was presented in magnificent condition thanks to our ground staff led by Colin Morrison, not only in the lead up but also across each day.

Entries and events ran smoothly thanks to our pro shop led by Gavin Coyle, his staff and the Golf Committee. The clubhouse food and beverage service ran exceptionally well with large volumes of patrons enjoying lunch each day and dinner on Saturday night. Thanks to our General Manager Chris Poulton, food & beverage staff and administration staff for their assistance. 

The Easter Open Championship on held on Easter Monday and was supported well across all categories with our 2017 winner David Dorning, in the men’s section and Heather Cameron in the women’s section.

Congratulations to all who participated in the events with a large number of golfers playing in more than 1 event, your patronage demonstrates the long standing tradition of comradery within our fine club, The Flinders Golf Club.
