Women’s July Monthly Medal Winner and Silver Spoon Winner

Flinders was very cold first thing in the morning on Saturday but when the women began to hit off for the July Monthly Medal the sky was a beautiful winter blue, the air was still cool but with no wind the conditions were sure to suit at least one of our 23 players. With an excellent score of nett 70 Kate Fletcher clearly found the conditions to her liking and was six points ahead of the runner up. This was Kate’s third Monthly Medal at Flinders.
Last Saturday the playoff for our Silver Spoon was also held, four players earned the right to play in this event. Three players were available to play on the day and Sue Wilson was the winner. Sue may now go on and represent Flinders at the State Final; which will be played at Eastern Golf Club on Monday 13 November. Congratulations Sue and good luck at the State Level.
