UPDATE – DINNER CANCELLED Warrant Officers Cup
Published on 2nd January 2018 in UncategorizedAt this stage, the Warrant Officers Cup is going ahead as planned on Saturday, however due to a lack of bookings the evening dinner has been cancelled. Each participating group of the Warrant Officers Cup will receive a platter of nibbles after the completion of their second round.
The current forecast for Flinders is 34 degrees, and Members are reminded to be aware of the Club Heat Policy.
The time honoured Warrant Officers Cup is scheduled for Saturday January 6th, 2018.
The Trophy was originally known as the ‘Naval Challenge Cup. It was later known as the ‘Naval Cup’, and today as the Warrant Officer’s Cup.
It was presented to the Club in 1939 by the Commissioned and Warrant Officers of the Royal Australian Navy at Cerberus.
The Officers & Warrant Officers donated the trophy in appreciation of the privilege granted to the Depot by The Flinders Golf Club of the right to play golf on our course.
Entry into the competition is via the electronic time sheet system.
An entry fee of $35 (inclusive of lunch) is payable when registering for the event at the pro-shop prior to commencement of the AM round.
Eligible Member categories are 7 day, Veteran, Super Veteran, Life, Age Based and Flexible.
