Published on 28th May 2018 in Past News StoryIt is with deep regret that the GPV District Golf Committee advises the passing of Colin Carter, our Chair of Men’s Events, and a longtime member of The Dunes Golf Club.
Besides being deeply committed to The Dunes GC as Captain of Men’s Golf and a past Vice President, Colin was a leader at District level as well.
Colin, or “Moose’ as he was affectionately known, in his role as Chair of Men’s Events was responsible for the promotion and administration of Men’s and Junior golf events in the District, a task
that he excelled in.
A mark of the man was his pet project, setting up a junior encouragement series that was played by all juniors, with or without handicaps, which proved to be a huge success.
There will be a funeral next Friday June 1st at the Rosebud Country Club, at 12.30.
