Update from the Women’s Captain and President

8.00am at the practice putting green for a briefing, we look forward to seeing all those who are booked to play. From there we can all disperse to our respective holes for a shotgun start at 8.30 a.m.
A few players have arranged to collect their cards from Josh on Wednesday afternoon so they are ready to park their cars at their allotted holes in the morning and do not have to come to the clubhouse first.
Lunch and trophy presentation is planned for approx. 1.15 pm.
Saturday 01 February – this is again Monthly Medal day AND the final round of the Anne Ford Summer Cup. You are in this final if you have played stroke on the previous 2 Saturday Monthly Medals. The winning score is the best aggregate nett of these 3 rounds.
This day is also the day entries close at 4.00 pm for the Linda Mckee Matchplay Trophy. Please add your name to the entry sheet on the whiteboard in the locker room.
Thursday 06 February – this day is the 3rd and final round of the Stableford Shield. The winner is the best score of 2 of the 3 rounds. Interestingly, the second round on Thur 23 January, was almost a washout. A few women entered but only one bravely completed 18 holes.
Thursday 13 February – this is the day we plan a matchplay practice for anyone interested but particularly for those who have entered the Linda McKee Matchplay trophy. Please put your name on the appropriate timesheet online or speak to Connor or Josh.
Apart from the very wet Thursday, above, we have had good golfing weather and great golfing numbers – members and visitors. We can look forward to better scores, these are already registering – there is hope for us all………
