Farewell to Lady Di

Published on 15th January 2021 in Local and Member News, Local News, Members News

Last night we gathered to say farewell to our good friend and matriarch Di Redley. Stories were shared, tears were plenty and a familiar warmth wrapped around us all, as she rang the bell for the final time. After 22 years at the helm, Di will be hard to replace and her friendly smile will be missed by all.

We wish her all the best in her retirement and hope to see her back at the club, on the other side of the bar often.

“Dear Members,

I would like to thank you all for the thoughts and best wishes extended to me in the past weeks. The individual gifts and cards were beautiful and I was overwhelmed by the generous amount of the members collective contribution presented to me on my final day. I will miss you all so very much. Hopefully our paths may still cross and I will continue to visit the Club to say hello.

The time spent working at the Flinders Golf Club has produced wonderful moments and experiences that I will always cherish.
Kind regards
Di Redley”
