From the President

Dear Members,

It is with great regret that I am writing to you now, to advise that I am taking the hard decision to stand down as President after only a very short time in the role.

I have only very recently become aware that I have a medical condition that is going to require treatment early in the new year. Some of you may also know that my wife Patty has a serious heart condition with which we were already dealing.

As a consequence, I no longer feel that I am able to undertake the commitment that the role of President requires.

I have asked Bill Richardson as Chair of the Nominations Committee to find a replacement for me as President.

However, I wish to do everything that I can to ensure that there is as smooth a transition as possible and I am working with Bill on a timetable for this. The intent currently is that I will continue to Chair the General Committee up until March 2022.

To the Committee, Management and all of our members, please accept my heartfelt apologies for the position in which the Club is now placed.
